Hi All –
I wanted to share with you a few updates that my firm announced over the past few weeks.
In early January, we acquired the business and clients of Paschall and Associates in Gastonia, NC. I’ve included below the notice that we recently sent to our clients. Tim Paschall and I have known each other for over 10 years and have grown considerably closer, as both friends and colleagues, over the years since then. Tim joining our firm in 2022 as an independent advisor was an honor and it’s an absolute privilege to officially have him and his clients merge into WMS this year. Tim will continue to work with us as he eases into retirement over the next several years. I am excited about working with Tim and his clients more personally this year. Here is the notice:
The first update is that we have acquired the business and clients of Paschall and Associates in Gastonia, NC (just outside of Charlotte, NC). The firm, led by Tim Paschall since its founding in 1997, will start the process of transitioning their clients to our firm throughout this year. Tim joined our firm as an Investment Advisor Representative in 2022 but continued to maintain a separate practice for the past two years. Tim will continue to assist us in client advising and financial planning.Tim has over three decades of experience in the financial industry and has earned the Certified Financial Planner designation from the CFP Board of Standards and the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College. He takes a long-term planning approach with his clients and sees his role as an educator and financial counselor. His goal, and one of his biggest rewards, is to be able to advise multiple generations of the same families as they grow and prosper. In addition to being an Investment Advisor Representative through WMS, Tim is a fully licensed independent insurance broker for life, accident, health, Medicare supplement, and long-term care insurance.
The second update is that we hired a new team member, Landon Wollesen, who started in early January. As many of you know, we are a “small” firm, so a new hire is a big deal for us! I’ve included the notice we recently shared with clients regarding Landon:
We have a new team member that recently joined our firm! Landon Wollesen started as a Client Service Associate (CSA) earlier this month. She joins us after spending the past 9 years in the field of Education. In this role, she will be supporting the firm’s advisors and clients on a day-to-day basis. Landon will be working out of both the Charlotte and our newly acquired Gastonia, NC offices as well as supporting our clients nationwide on a virtual basis. Coincidentally, Landon and her husband, Matt (a Senior Project Manager for Fortune- Johnson, LLC), who also works in the Charlotte area, are long-time friends of Alex Schutz and have been clients of the firm for several years.
I’ll share more WMS and personal updates in the next few weeks. Thank you ALL for the support you have provided me and our firm over the last year and to start this year!
If I can help you with anything, please let me know.
