A quick post on this Thanksgiving holiday.
After a bout of strep throat earlier this week, I am thankful to be back to feeling normal. Being sick over any holiday is never fun.
A few things that I am thanking God for this year:
- My Charlotte community – the friends and neighbors that we’ve spent time with over the past year.
- My Job – the coworkers, clients, and colleagues that I interact with on a daily basis. I am thankful for the support they have given me the past year, and for getting to know them on a more personal level.
- My Family – both my immediate and extended family. They are everything.
A fellow board member at Charlotte Bilingual Preschool recently shared how in her family they use the alphabet as a guide and go around the table, with each one of them saying something for which they are thankful. They continue all the way through the alphabet. What a great tradition!
In addition to the Thanksgiving festivities, this weekend we also get to celebrate baby Lawton turning one!
Lastly, thankful for my friend Lauren Miller capturing the above photo of Gaines giving Lawton a leaf shower during our family photos!
I hope you each have an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday with your friends and family.
Tom
